The Hudson River Ramblers, regaled fourth graders at Crompond Elementary with stories and songs of the American War for Independence.   Jonathan Kruk & Rich Bala told the meaning behind Yankee Doodle, getting the kids to sing too.  Students learned of the teen girl who out rode Paul Revere, and joned in on a battle song marking victory at Saratoga.  The kids also relished tales of Hessians with “four rows of teeth” and helped hail George Washington with (root beer) toast.

A lively learning time for all!
